NHS Education for Scotland NMAHP Development Framework

Welcome to Level 7 of the NMAHP Development Framework. 

In this section, you will find information about the role, qualifications, and the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) expected for practice at this level. 

You will also have access to the following tools to support your development:   

  • Development Needs Analysis Tools (DNAT): These tools help you reflect on your current job role and identify areas for further training to enhance or advance your skills. 
    • Option 1: Learning and development needs to support growth within your current role. 
    • Option 2: Learning and development needs as a trainee advanced practitioner, including evidence of advanced practice and sign-off. 
  • Reflective Self-Assessment Tool: This tool is designed to help you assess your current practice and identify areas for improvement. 

After completing your self-assessment, you can use the Action Planning Tool to set goals and prioritise your learning. 

Additionally, a Resources section is available to guide you with key materials to support your next steps in development.
