Hospital @ Home Knowledge and Skills Development Framework
Topic
Hospital at Home
Hospital at home is a short-term, targeted service that provides a level of acute care in an individual’s own home, that is equivalent to that provided within a hospital. Hospital at home services are developing to meet the needs of the population; current and emerging service models can be explored in the Healthcare Improvement Scotland iHub.
Alignment with the NMAHP Development Framework
Direct alignment
The Hospital at Home (H@H) Knowledge and Skills Development Framework is a standalone framework that is integrated with the NMAHP Development Framework.
Purpose of the framework
It has been designed to contextualise the generic aspects of the NMAHP and HCSW Development Framework within a Hospital @ Home setting. So, if you work within a H@H setting then you need only to complete the H@H framework to meet all the generic competencies.
Audience
Nurses, AHPs and HCSWs working or aspiring to work in Hospital at home services. Service managers and educators.
